Hate Story 2 Trailer Crossed 5 Million Views !!!

The official trailer of upcoming film 'Hate Story 2' has crossed over 5 million views on Youtube, within seven days of its launch. Pitted as one of the most awaited movies of 2014, this marks the debut of television actors, Jay Bhanushali and Surveen Chawla. The film is a sequel to the hit thriller film, Hate Story which was released in 2012. Hate Story 2 is directed by Vishal Pandya and produced by Vikram Bhatt and T-series. It is set to release on July 18, 2014.

The trailer was released on June 5th on Youtube and till June 12th, it has crossed over 5 million views. This is not the only Bollywood movie trailer which has got so many views in just one week! There are many other Bollywood movie trailers which has got millions of views in a short span of time. From Jab Tak Hai Jaan to Krrish 3, some of the hit movies of Bollywood been trending since their trailers were released on YouTube. Jab Tak Hai Jaan crossed 8.1 million views on YouTube; Second in the list is Krissh 3's trailer which reached 8 million views. Race 2, Ek Tha Tiger, Agneepath and many other movies are followed next in the list. Not even Sunny Leone's Ragini MMS 2 reached 5 million till now. Ragini MMS 2's trailer is at 4,694,330 till today (June 15th).

So what makes this trailer with relatively newcomers a trendsetter? Lets analyze…

Going by the first impression, It is as raunchy, explicit and violent as it's 2012 prequel.

Now, Hate Story, was an erotic thriller, again produced by Vikram Bhatt and directed by Vivek Agnihotri. It did well at box office and was commercially successful. One of the prime reasons for its success was its erotic theme, sexual content and nudity. Before the film was released, the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification) ordered the sex scenes in the movie to be reduced by 50%, but dialogues were left untouched. This made Vikram Bhatt to praise the censors. He quoted, “The censor board has been great. They've passed all the dialogues and only got us to cut the excesses in the love-making scenes. I'm extremely pleased with their progressive thinking". But One sex scene that was cut in particular. This scene can be viewed in the trailer, although no uncut version of the film is available via home entertainment.

It got mixed reviews from critics, with praises from Subhash K. Jha, quoting “'Hate Story' is a most riveting and aesthetic saga of a woman's revenge against the man." To Taran Adarsh, who said “On the whole, HATE STORY banks on the age-old vendetta theme, but what takes it beyond the mediocre mark is the cat and mouse game played by the protagonist and antagonist, besides, of course, the bold and provocative scenes that add spice to the proceedings. Though engaging in parts, there's no denying that the second hour seizes your attention, making it a watchable experience." And Raja Sen, said “"Despites its bold promos, Hate Story offers very little skin show.". But the audience gave it a decent opening at the Box Office, with its ultimately earning

149 million (US$2.5 million) in India and was declared an Above Average performer.
